Bean dip layered1/15/2024 ![]() Or use it for an easy lunch! It’s hearty enough that I’ve occasionally done that and my kids think it’s the best. Serve your refried bean dip with tortilla chips, Fritos or even pita chips for an easy appetizer or snack! Serve as a dip with tortilla chips, inside tacos, or as a Mexican side dish. Pour mixture into an 8 inch or similar size baking dish and sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese evenly on top. Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Stir in the sour cream, taco seasoning, salsa, and ¼ cup shredded cheese. Once you have all your ingredients, just add them to a bowl and microwave it until the cream cheese is soft enough that you can combine everything into a smooth dip. Stir in the sour cream, taco seasoning, salsa, and ¼ cup shredded cheese. Spread the guacamole on top of the refried beans. Smooth out the layer with the back of a spoon. Spread the refried bean layer into the bottom of a square 8×8 glass dish or a pie dish. It will alter the taste slightly, but is still good. In a small bowl combine the refried beans, taco seasoning, and 1/4 cup of the sour cream. You can sub Greek yogurt if you prefer using that. You can use olive oil instead, to help the consistency of the beans. This adds a lot of creaminess to the refried bean dip and it’s also what helps make it dipping consistency. If you are trying to avoid pork, note that most canned refried beans are made with added lard, so check the ingredients. If you are concerned that you won’t get the rest of the package used, you can always freeze it! The taste will be the same! This recipe only uses 4 oz. Spread the guacamole over the beans and then spread the sour cream over the guacamole. The cream cheese gives the dip a wonderful rich flavor! If you are calorie conscious, feel free to sub Neufchatel cheese instead. Evenly spread the refried beans on the bottom of a 9-by-13-inch baking dish. In fact, I’ve even used Picante sauce a few times simply because that’s what I had in the cupboard and it was delicious too! Top guacamole with lettuce, then diced bell peppers, then pico de gallo. They all work fine! We prefer the regular simply because we like a smoother bean dip but it’s good either way. Spread beans on the bottom of a serving bowl or dish. It doesn’t really matter what kind of salsa you use- mild, hot, chunky or regular.
