X3 terran conflict tutorial1/16/2024 ![]() ![]() The point is that this is an extremely easy to track stat you can work on and while you're working on it, you'll accomplish a great many other things, like exploration, making money, getting equipment, etc. Do missions for them, kill bad guys in their sectors, get trade going with them, whatever. You can do that in a number of ways and I don't care how you do it. Now, as to what your early game goals should be, that's very simple, in my opinion:ġ) Get your reputation up with every race so that you can unlock all their sectors and make all of their ships/gear open to you. They're awesome for new players, so watch them all. Here's the first of Commander Dave's vids, for reference: Setting up a Universal Trader does require some initial money to start as it 500k credits to buy the necessary upgrade (Trade Command Mk III found at Teladi Equipment Docks and Navigation Software) in addition to a ship for the AI to fly. I personally find this rather boring and set up a Universal Trader to do the hauling for me while I'm off doing other stuff. Terran ships only have the base model where as the Commonwealth have several models for each fighter craft (Vangaurd, Sentinel and Raider )Ĭombat is not the only way to earn money, some people prefer hauling cargo from point A to point B. Regarding combat ships, if you want the Commonwealth ships (Not Terrans) go with the Vangaurd variant as they are better combat oriented at the cost of cargo space. DO NOT take Assassination missions until you have at least a corvette (M6) and a jumpdrive equipped. Try to save up money wherever you can, I would upgrade combat ships only when I had to, such as when multiple Xenon M or bigger start showing up in sector patrols or the Kha'ak Fighters. Based on my preference, I go with doing combat missions (station defence, sector patrol) to start earning money. I personally haven't watched any of them so i can't say how good they are. I get the same feelings when I play that platformer Braid? and Portal because my brain isn't practical like 99 percent of hormal people. It works differently.I hate it.I wish I could enjoy games like everyone else.Having an eye disease which gives me headaches doesn't help either.I guess that's why I like HL2.It doesn't rely on you being the brainiest person on Earth and it doesn't have menu screens you have to squint at.It is gaming at it's purest.Several of the people who frequent the forum will say to watch cdrdaves tutorials on Youtube. I get what you're saying.I get anxiety really bad playing this and my mind starts spinning like a top because I don't know what to do because there are too many options.I like being guided.īut I uess I get depression with 90 pecent of games. The only ones I've finshed are Deus Ex human Reculotion and Hl2 and its addons and the incredible mod out for it.Those games relax me for some reason X3 sends me into depression really quick.I habe to quick otherwise I start getting real down on myself. ![]() I dont see why you would want to directly discourage people from buying/playing it. However he is correct in that this game is not for everyone, and many will never get truly into it, but then they are lucky it is a cheap buy for a huge and fantastic game they have yet to discover. ![]() And as far as Proud Tiger goes, the dude has 180 games with like 85% of them played just about 2 hours. ![]()
